Their latest, self titled album was produced by Patrick Carney of the Black Keys. This album has a much more clean cut, concise rhythmic sound you would expect from something produced by the Black Keys drummer. From that album, the song, 'Feeling Good':
All their albums showcase a tremendous amount of talent. As mentioned in dwstaple's post, they graced the cover of the Rolling Stone in 2011.
As soon as tickets went on sale for their May 13th show at the Triple Rock Social Club, I bought mine. I was 100% certain it would be a sold out show. As often is the case, I was wrong. Instead, The Sheepdogs humbly performed a kick ass set to a crowd of (maybe?) 200. This show was awesome. They are a very solid band, not a single song was sit-downable. We enjoyed VIP treatment the whole show; were able to snag a table near the stage for our drinks, and there were no lines for the bar or bathroom. I felt like was upgraded to a private event for a big act. A big bonus to the show was rubbing elbows with some adorable, excited Canadians in the crowd. The show was perfection. Next time they are in town, I am not certain I will be able to enjoy the VIP treatment. This band is going to get people listening. Maybe not that Monday night at the Triple Rock, but definately another night soon. Thank you NB and KF for a great night! But most importantly, thank you dwstaple, for tuning me into these guys.
