Lisa Hannigan

I first discovered Lisa Hannigan years ago when she was providing amazing backing vocals for Damien Rice's excellent album "O". I was even lucky enough to be at the Barrymore for a memorable show when she performed with Damien Rice (with the Frames opening). I was so impressed by her singing that I kept an eye out for a few years for a solo album from her. I was convinced she was a star in the making.

Recently, re-discovered her on her charming Tiny Desk Concert over at npr.org (worth your time to check out). So the other day I was in B-Side Records looking for her new album. Unfortunately they were out, but the guy behind the desk (who always seems to know all about about any artist I ask him about) said that her first album is also great and the she's one of his current favorite singer/songwriters. He then proceeded to tell me about the video above. One shot taken with her full band inside the snug at pub in Dingle. So here it is... recommended by the staff at B-Side...
