MMJ's studio albums are terrific, but they totally rock out live. I feel like they are two completely different, but both really super, bands. We saw them (probably 7 years ago, sheesh) at a small bar in Madison (The Annex), and it was great, but a lot like seeing Metallica play a house party. They bring a lot of sound. Still, great band, and I personally think Circuital, their most recent effort, is as good as any of their previous albums. I think I'll listen to it now.
Those are some real dirty hippies. You'd think rock stars could afford shoes... Still, that's a fantastic song. Years ago I bought a bunch of MMJ albums because I heard that they were the next cool thing. I really only started to really get into them about a month ago, however. I have their double live CD and am a particular fan of disk one.
