Big Dave is Back

 Who here has spent at least one boozy night at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor listening to Big Dave and the Ultrasonics.  I know that I've easily spent dozens.  They were one of the best live bands I've ever seen and when they broke up years ago I always thought we'd be hearing more from the members of the band.  Sure the keyboard player joined Blues Traveller... but what about that great harmonica player?  And what about Big Dave himself?

Well I got a call yesterday from brother Jon who said he was driving and heard Big Dave on the radio and that he's got a new album out.  A google search show's its true:  www.sharianddaveblues.com

Here's a preview.  There are a few songs from the old Big Dave repertoire (Everyone Wants a Cadillac has always been a favorite of mine), but the sound is decidedly stripped down from the jump blues of old.  Here's a preview:
