Music highlight of my day today: Shovels and Ropes were played on the radio in Minneapolis today! Shovels and Ropes is the band that opened for the Felice Brothers that I was fortunate enough to see last year. I really enjoyed this song live, and was thrilled to hear it played on the current's United States of Americana show this morning. Schools Out...Let the Blogging Resume!
I will save you the gratuitous Alice Cooper video, but this teacher is definitely excited for the summer break. I locked up my classroom last Wednesday, and will not be returning until mid August. While it was a good school year, I welcome the opportunity to read for leisure, sleep more than 5 hours a night, and listen to music on a more regular basis. All those things add up to more blogging material... This is your warning; you guys like sting? will be subjected to more posts from this blogger (well, at least for July).
