now that we're on the subject... i wasn't going to bring it up... but one month ago, while I was teaching a small group, one of the sixth graders started singing 'Pumped Up Kicks' out of nowhere. that got two more students excited and off task, humming/singing along. i asked the first student, 'is that song appropriate for school?' and he smiled sheepishly and said, 'no'.
