I had not, but I became aware of them today, and really enjoy them. Wikipedia describes them as a blues band from Austin, TX influenced by Howlin' Wolf and James Brown. I don't know who Howlin' Wolf is (although I'll probably have to check that out), but the James Brown feel is unmistakable. Anyway, it seems as though they have a new album out. Have you ever heard of Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears?
I had not, but I became aware of them today, and really enjoy them. Wikipedia describes them as a blues band from Austin, TX influenced by Howlin' Wolf and James Brown. I don't know who Howlin' Wolf is (although I'll probably have to check that out), but the James Brown feel is unmistakable. Anyway, it seems as though they have a new album out.
