My friends Brett and Jen Wilfrid are in a local Madison band called the Whiskey Farm. Actually, I used to play with both of them on a regular basis in our own little band that we used to call variously "The Kinky Nelsons", "Commander Space and the Pregnant 8th Graders" or "The Benjy Moffit Experience" depending on our mood. We played an elementary school picnic, Cecely Castillo's Birthday party and a handful of house parties...
Anyway, their band has a CD out. It got a nice review in the Isthmus last weekend (review) that singled out Brett's mandolin playing and Jen's harmonies, which was nice to see.

They stumbled into a prime time slot at Brat Fest (5/28 at 6pm) if you happen to be in Madison and eating brats over Memorial Day weekend.
