Pram Town

WARNING: This video is a little nausea inducing, but the song is great. If you can't handle it just close your eyes and enjoy...

Here's another track of Ray Davies inspired sampler from Uncut. It's "Pram Town" by Darren Hayman. This song captures Ray's penchant for nostalgia about the village green quite well I think.

As it happened, I was listening to this a lot when the whole Scott Walker hell storm came down in Madison. The lyrics really resonated with me because they were about a community aspiring to be a great place to live and investing in the things that you take for granted but make life just a little bit better... parks, bike lanes, libraries, round-a-bouts... Kind of makes you want to live in Pram Town instead of Wisconsin in this day and age.

How could you live anywhere else?
